"This is a Must Try in Capri. Simply great. Enjoy the best food under the lemon trees. Romantic and elegant. Make sure to reserve ahead of time. It's crowded and busy, so the service will be slow but acceptable. The experience was outstanding. Make sure to make room for dessert; the dedicated dessert buffet was amazing."
"We went to Capri for our mini honeymoon and it was simply magic. Da Paolino restaurant was simply amazing. It was our first time. Great location. Unforgettable. Food was great and staff very kind and polite. Top class!!!"
"De Paolino was a great experience. The restaurant was open during lunchtime hours as it's still not peak season on Capri (We were there in mid April) Though the restaurant's location is slightly hidden, it was actually quite easy to find. When you're there, you feel that you've arrived in Italy. Dining inside lemon groves was very cool. The attention to every single detail was impeccable. The table settings and the staff outfits were all thought out. I highly recommend their shrimp salad with Parmesan cheese and the Vigna di Paola wine paired with the fish baked in salt. It takes a while to cook the fish, but it was totally worth it. While we waited for our food to come out the weather was slightly cool. For our comfort the restaurant provided us with yellow colored blankets which kept us warm and cozy. I would highly recommend this dining experience when visiting Capri."
"This is probably one of the only positive reviews I can leave for Capri. The service was good — nothing special to highlight, but also nothing negative to say. The staff were professional and polite, and everything was handled smoothly. The food arrived very quickly, which was nice. As for the dishes themselves, I honestly didn’t find the food particularly special. The prices are extremely high — you’re looking at around €50–€70 just for a starter, which feels excessive. The steak was reasonably priced at €45, but the portion of vegetables and fries was tiny (for the price) (not a big deal, since they weren’t great anyway). It came with a delicious red wine sauce I had never tried before — really lovely flavor. Unfortunately, my steak was overcooked (I asked for medium but got almost well done), although my friend’s steak — also ordered medium — was perfectly cooked, so I suppose it was just bad luck. Overall, the place is beautiful and the setting under the lemon trees is stunning, but the food doesn’t quite live up to the atmosphere or the price tag. If I could, I’d rate it 3.5 stars — a 3 feels a bit too harsh, but a 4 a bit too generous — so I’ll go with 4 stars."
"My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Ristorante Da Paolino during our recent trip to Capri, and it was nothing short of enchanting. We’ve heard it’s quite famous – often whispered about as a celebrity favorite and a must-visit spot on the island – but honestly, it didn’t feel overhyped or exclusive; instead, it welcomed us with a down-to-earth charm that made the evening feel personal and special. From the moment we arrived, we were transported into a fairy-tale setting under a canopy of vibrant lemon trees, with twinkling lights and the gentle scent of citrus filling the air. The scenery is breathtaking: nestled in a lush garden grove, it offers views of the surrounding hills and a serene, almost secluded vibe despite being in the heart of Capri. It’s like dining in a private oasis, where the natural beauty of the lemon trees overhead creates a canopy that sways gently in the breeze, making every glance upward a delight. The entire process was seamless and delightful. We made reservations well in advance through their website, which I highly recommend – this place books up quickly, especially during peak season, so planning ahead ensures you don’t miss out. The staff greeted us warmly and guided us to our table with such genuine hospitality that we felt like honored guests. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, offering thoughtful recommendations from their impressive menu. We started with fresh antipasti, including perfectly seasoned seafood and their signature lemon-infused dishes, which were bursting with flavor and highlighted the island’s local ingredients. For mains, we indulged in the homemade pasta – the lemon ravioli was a standout, light yet rich, and paired beautifully with a crisp white wine from their excellent selection. And oh, the dessert bar! It was a highlight we won’t forget – an abundant spread of fresh, house-made treats like lemon tarts, tiramisu, and seasonal fruits, all artfully displayed under the lemon trees. We loved wandering over to pick our favorites; it added a fun, interactive element to the meal and capped off the dinner perfectly. What we loved most was the whole experience: the magical garden atmosphere, the impeccable service, and the way every detail came together to create lasting memories. Da Paolino isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a destination that captures the essence of Capri’s charm. We can’t recommend it highly enough and are already planning our return. Thank you to the entire team for making our evening so special! 5 stars all around."
"Wow, wow, wow. Da Paolino is fabulous. What you see in photos is what you get. There are lemon trees all over and it’s just simply beautiful. The service is unbelievable, and the food was excellent. Definitely a “must do” when you’re in Capri. Make reservations because it does fill up quickly."
"Da Paolino in Capri is a magical experience! When we arrived, the lights were still off, but the moment they opened, they welcomed us warmly and began serving right away. The entire team was so kind, helpful, and incredibly fast with the service. Everything we ordered from the menu was absolutely delicious—every bite was a highlight! The dessert corner is a dream come true, with sweets that are truly unforgettable. The setting, the service, the food—it was all perfect. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Capri!"
"Dining at Da Paolino was a truly memorable experience! We made reservations in advance and took a taxi from the main Capri plaza — it’s a short walk from where you’re dropped off, and they’re happy to call you a taxi after dinner. We started the evening with drinks at the bar before being seated, which set a great tone. Once seated, we chose a bottle of red wine and had fun picking out our fish and steak directly from the cooler. We ordered both the truffle pasta and the famous lemon pasta — both were excellent, but we’d recommend the lemon for its bold, unique flavor. The whole salted fish and steak were presented and plated tableside, which added to the experience. Everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. They also offer a stunning dessert room for €30 per plate — we were too full to try it, but it looked absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for a special night out in Capri!"
